After having a pet for 1 year, I've noticed how "human" they are despite the fact that they walk on all four and meow or bark instead of saying, " I missed you! welcome home! " as they wag their tails like there's no tomorrow. Or, even hiss and growl instead of saying, " Stopppp touuucchhiiinnngggg mmmmeeeee!! * impersonates achmed the dead terrorist *

I've had many fishes and tortoises but marine animals are just not the same with mammals in terms of action and stuff.

Have you seen how some mammals sleep?!? They practically lie down on their backs and drift of to slumber land =..="

and who knows, they might even be dreaming... who knows what goes on up in their heads?

When they wake up, they might even have morning breath. But, i wouldn't know that :S
But they do stretch after a nice little nap :)

Or they might end up giving you a grouchy attitude cause they're not a morning person. >.<

there's no wrath like a cat scorned :S

Hmm, and then for breakfast, they might even sit on your chair and eat your food if they think you breakfast looks better then their same old boring canned food =)

Then, they will show you how good breakfast was. Licking up their mouths like the clean little doggies they are. Not leaving a stain on their teeth.

Unlike humans though, they don't use tissues. I guess they really want to SAVE TREES. maybe cause they know life wont be the same if they cant go around marking their territories on the bark of trees.

They also very camwhore one if you're ever in the mood for a camwhore session with them.

They can act cute by tilting their heads with a hint of that blurr expression.

Or head behind their scratching post and act cute going PEEEEKK-A-BOOO!

Though if they have a little of that serious pose for a passport photo or some portfolio stuff.

They are so good at making expressions they can even give you the "what the f**k" pose just by narrowing their pupils 0.o

Or act as a Vampire with protruding fangs and sticking out their tongues for that super hungry effect.

A victim that was bitten by The vampire.

" ooh! ooh! Look at me! i can stand on 2 feet just like you! TAKE A PICTURE! I CANT HOLDDDD OOONN ANNNYY LOONNGGGEEERRRRRRRR!!!! "

Nowadays, they can even play dress up! they are good companions for halloween outings!
Trick or Treat yo!

And then you have those serious animals that can work until they get so stressed out.

" Can't humans be more peaceful! this seating arrangement would be so much easier! The Colemans won't sit with the Smiths and the Smiths won't sit with Winchesters unless the Winmans sit with them but the Winmans don't like the Winches............... " STRESS STRESS STRESS!

Then they will start emo-ing at the window still wondering why life is unfair.

Now, can you see how similar they are with us humans?
Okay.

On a less chirpy note.

If they are so similar to us in so many ways, what about the animals on the streets.

Abandoned.
With no place to call home.

The ones who have lost their parents who were killed in a car accident or etc etc.

The ones who have contracted skin diseases because they have no means to be hygienic and they cant go to the doctors when lets face it, how many places would accept a sick dog when he can't pay cash for their services? Even most hospitals these days won't except a human patient if they can't pay for the medical bills. so how? What if its a terminal disease?

And for those who are still waiting for their time to come - when they leave this painful sad world, will go on suffering...
Starving.

If you think the drainage is smelly, what about those animals who have to hide in there just to take shelter?

The numbers of abandoned animals are rising everyday. I'm not going to talk about the causes of this because isn't it obvious? They say prevention is better then cure, but right at this very moment the causes are just to many and complicated to even begin with. Therefore, why not pick up the pieces one by one to slowly over come this problem. We could start by giving these homeless animal a home.

If there is even a small place in your heart , do consider adopting a pet! =p

They need angels too!

Who knows? You might end up finding a best friend that will give you memories that will carve a beautiful mark on your heart =)

Or they might just end up being your valentine =P who says valentine's day is for couples only?!
