so, i went on a little trip to west malaysia during the holidays and i i never thought id say this but i couldn't wait to come home. Not that the trip was bad or anything though.
The thing is school started just a few weeks ago and i was already in the school mode. Besides, if you know me well enough you'll know i'm not much of a holiday person?
i left on the 19th of march to KL and my flight was delayed for an hour =.='' i tried to go online but the connection in the terminal was bad :( but i met coach and we had a lil chat :D i miss my netball days.
i don't like sitting on planes mind you and there was turbulence halfway. the plane literally shook =.='' and then it was time for some bonding time with my best friend - sony .

and this is ginger. she's so cute can? <3>

i didn't really get to do much shopping but we went to sunway pyramid :) there was sales! hehehe

spot the hidden mickey?

On the second day, my cousin Hazel drove us down to Malacca :)
Thats their cendol. so cute right the plate?

jonker walk

thats suppose to be the Gan Boon Leng (sp?) statue. i think he won mr universe or something? sorry for the blur photo we just drove past =)

Malacca is known to have some pretty good food. For dinner, we first went to a small alley for some cockles and clams. It's a place where alot of locals go to.

then, we went for some lok lok. That's satay sauce in the middle. When customers come, they turn on the head so it starts boiling and u put what u want to eat inside. the place was fully packed!

i like this start thingy. my brother says it taste like fish. HAHA. i didn;t eat it cause it was too cute to look at :) don't you think?

i was pretty bloated afterwards. We went to jonker street where the night market was at. There was alot of people and a singing contest was going on where all the older people sang oldies :p

and then later that night we went for cendol again. we ate like 3 times for one dinner T.T but once in awhile okay right?

Malacca is known for their chicken rice balls. Frojmj the moment i entered Malacca, there was like this huge poster already advertising it. HAHA. i never knew about it till now and thats what i had for breakfast on a Sunday. The restaurant once again was fully packed. People queued like in lines to get a seat but i didn't have to cause we were early birds :p In Malacca, every restaurant i went too was full =.='' business very good :p
Anyways, i didn't really like the rice balls. i thought Thien Thien or rejoice or any chicken rice tasted better T.T

kuen, do you remember these rottans? :) i can see the hand flying off now. HAHA

We walked around for some sight seeing. Apparently, Malacca has alot of history. all the Baba and nonya people? i think they are chinese but they speak malay?

those are the red houses. in one street all the houses are painted red.

we walked up alot of stairs, but not as many as tasek's stairs :) and reached some place with alot of tombstones. I think they were the portugese or spanyols's tombstones?

and thats the view from up there =)

Thats the Ford

we rode on the tutu to a ship. there were plenty in Malacca. decorated with flowers and stuff. it was very pretty.

Thats in the ship where they showcased all the hiostorical stuff

amelia: why do u like to kiss statues so much?
me : That's Hang Tuah okay?
amelia: ooohhhhh...

it's a pirates like for me (8)

Captain's cabin

the huge anchor.

We had nonya food for lunch. and it was pretty awesome :)

The otak-otak was the bomb! i wish i ate more. HAHA. it was spicy and not very jellyyy.. pretty awesome stuff. =)

i didn't dare imagine how much weight i had gained already :( but with all the good food how can one not eat right? 0:) anyways i have tons more pictures so i'll continue next time with my visit to the zoo. the animals were so cute you know. especially the tiger! HAHAHA. but ill save that for next time.
